Cardiovascular Technologist, Noninvasive, female Cardiovascular Technologist, Noninvasive, female RESPONSIBLE TO Manager, Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratory BASIC FUNCTION Prepares patient for study. Perform non-invasive testing such as ECG, Holter monitoring, Stress testing and Pacemaker/ICD analysis or 2D and M –mode echo Doppler studies. Assist in TEE and Dobutamine Echo. PRINCIPAL DUTIES Operates and calibrates all equipment. Ensures equipment is operated safely. Understand sterile technique for Cath L ab, O.R. and isolation patients. Monitors equipment and reports any hazards or needs f or repair and maintenance to supervisor. Assists with emergency resuscitation procedures. Participates in in-service, continuing education and quality improvement programs. Guides and trains student s residents and nurses i n appropriate testing procedures. Monitors patient throughout procedure and reports any event that may need physician intervention. Obtains measured and calculated data and provides technical evaluation. Prepares final reports for physician approval. Documents and logs all patient events and procedures. Ensures adequate stock of supplies and materials informing supervisor when low points reached. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures. Participates in self and others' education training and development as applicable. Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION Completion of accredited program in cardiovascular technology, cardiac ultrasound technology, or related health care field after High School. Registration with the American Society of Cardiovascular Professionals or country-of-origin equivalent. EXPERIENCE & OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) years of related experience in the assigned area. Basic computers kills required. Ability to work with technology.
